Marilyn J. Lawson, Family Caregiver Consultant is the founder of Eldercare and Caregiver Solutions (ECS), a company established to educate families about the various sources of support for seniors.  After a twenty-nine year career in banking and having achieved the position of Second Vice President, Marilyn became the first Executive Director of the Holistic Development Center, a non-profit organization established by her church, Detroit Unity Temple.  Additionally, she volunteered for thirteen years with the Detroit Area Agency on Aging as an Advisory Council member; and in 2012, she was appointed to a two-year term as Chair of the forty-member Council. Marilyn spent seven years as primary caregiver to her mother, and she shared in the care of her aunt; both living well into their nineties.

In addition to her work and life experience, Mrs. Lawson holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Marketing and Long Term Care Administration from Madonna University.  Additionally, she has Certificates in Eldercare Practice and Nursing Home Administration.  Marilyn is passionate about providing information to families to aid them in finding resources to successfully navigate this phase of life.
